Our story

With more than 58 years of business experience, Blue Seas Enterprises Inc. was originally established in the spring of 2004 in response to the growing demand for swimming pool safety products within the Canadian swimming pool market. In 2006 Blue Seas Enterprises Inc. made the decision to align it's Automatic Safety Cover division with Coverstar™ Inc. and license the name Coverstar™ Canada. Due to the quality of products produced, we strategically made the decision to stay aligned with the Coverstar™ brand of swimming pool safety covers and continued our commitment to license the name Coverstar™ Canada when Coverstar™ Inc. was purchased by Latham Pool Products™ in 2006.

From its inspection in 2004, Coverstar™ Canada has stayed a complete and independently Canadian owned company, strategically positioning ourselves as a leader in swimming pool safety products throughout our country. We have continually been committed to improving and expanding our operations and service to our Canadian customers coast to coast.

In 2010 we expanded our Western Canadian operations, doubling our Western Canadian office and warehouse space in order to provide more "on hand" products, as well as faster service and installation times for our customers. Our BC office provides exceptional sales, service and installation support for our Western Canadian builders.

In 2013 our company once again expanded on warehouse capacity at our Ontario operation, almost tripling our office and warehouse space in Vaughan, ON. This has allowed us to provide the largest "on hand" automatic safety cover product offering in Canada. Our Ontario location also provides our customers with our own exceptional Coverstar™ Canada sales, service and installation team to meet the growing demand for our products in Ontario.

In 2014 we once again doubled our warehouse capacity in Western Canada to triple our "on hand" stock and deliver even more efficient and faster delivery of automatic safe cover products to our customers.

In 2015 our company established a new warehouse location for the Quebec market, in Terrebonne, QC. With this location we are able to provide "on hand" automatic safety cover products for the first time to Quebec builders and dealers, as well as, providing our own Coverstar™ Canada seasonal in-field sales, service and installation support.

In 2019 our company added additional warehouse facilities in British Columbia and Ontario and began assembly and packaging, in our Canadian facilities, many of the components that make up our systems.

Aligned with Coverstar™ Inc and subsequently Latham Pool Products. since our inception, we are a proud member of the Pool and Hot Tub Council of Canada. As a company our team strives to bring our Canadian customers the most superior engineered products, excellence in customer service and satisfaction, and integrity in all levels of our business.

charitable support

Coverstar Canada is a proud supporter of the following charity’s and ministries:

Lets Give Them Hope

We are a Christian non-profit organization based in and around Harare, Zimbabwe, and Twashuka, Zambia, working with orphaned and vulnerable children and youth, where HIV/AIDS, poverty and numbers of orphans are high, and support structures are very low. Our ministry is aimed at providing healthy meals, basic necessities, emotional support, education, and bringing children hope.

Hope International Development Agency

Founded in 1975 - in response to the Ethiopian famines ravaging the country - HOPE gathered a group of committed families, deeply compassionate and dedicated people, to act with love and Christ’s tangible compassion to address extreme need. They had one goal: help people. Today, that goal remains our firm foundation.

HOPE mobilizes resources and connects donors, volunteers and teams here in Canada with opportunities to fuel lasting change around the world. Working in 16 countries – with a focus on clean water, food security and livelihoods – together we equip and empower possibility for families through approaches that are resilient, community-led and sustainable.

Nightshift Street Ministries

NightShift has been providing nightly outreach for people stuck in the cycle of poverty, addiction and homelessness in the Whalley neighbourhood of Surrey since 2004. We do this with hot meals, warm clothing, conversation, basic nursing and counselling, and most importantly, unconditional love.

We exist to care for the holistic needs of others, 365 days a year, by building relationships and restoring lives through outreach, counselling, education and transitional housing.

Ride to Conquer Cancer

The Ride to Conquer Cancer is Canada’s largest and most impactful cycling fundraiser. All proceeds directly benefit The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre, one of the top 5 cancer research centres in the world.

Each year it brings thousands together to help accelerate life-saving cancer research. While each Rider has their own reason for riding, we are all heading towards the same goal: Conquer Cancer In Our Lifetime. There are multiple Ride routes to choose from and cyclists of all levels are encouraged to join.
